I doubt many people own the last Symbian 5th edition top dog phone, the Nokia N8, but if you happen to have one of the best camera phones out there you will be glad to hear that the Belle update for the aging Symbian OS is live. Although not official yet, if you own a Nokia N8, you can get the Belle update via the Navifirm software, which in turn means that Nokia is indeed uploading the Belle update for N8 and possibly other devices to their servers.

This update is aimed at improving the usability of the Symbian OS and as it happens ,it might just be one of the last major updates any Symbian running device gets thanks to the commitment of Nokia to Windows Phone 7. This particular update for the N8 bears the number v111.30.607. If you do not want to try updating via an unofficial way, you will be happy to know that the official update will be coming in a week or so.
